Born on the Central Coast, I grew up in southern Sydney in the Sutherland Shire.
My original degree was a Bachelor of Science (Exercise) at the University of Wollongong and I studied post-graduate medicine at Sydney University from 2013-2016. I spent two years as a junior doctor at both St George and Sutherland Hospital in Sydney. I always planned on training as a GP, knowing it was a good fit for my personality and skill set and I love the diversity of people and issues I see everyday, particularly in a regional town like Armidale. I began my specialist General Practice training initially in Sydney before making the decision to transfer to Armidale in mid-2020 to see if country life and rural medicine suited us. It did! I am committed to pursuing my career in General Practice in Armidale and became a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in early 2021.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children and am involved in my local church. When I get the chance I love siting down with a good book or going for the least hilly run I can find around town. I am slowly getting acquainted with country life: raising bees, chickens and a fledgling vegetable patch.
